Modem configuration for 10-digit local dialing

Changes to Internet Connect on MacOS X (10.x)

1. Select the Apple menu, then click on System preferences.

2. Open the Network pane.

3. Click on the PPP tab.

4. Type the required area code followed by the local connection number in the Telephone Number box. This number should include 10 digits to comply with the new dialing standard (Ex: 5148617915).

5. Click on the Save button then click on the little red circle in the top left corner to close the window.
